This sure needed an update. Flavio Goncalves was born in the Azorean Archipelago, Portugal, and nowadays lives in Lisbon, the Portuguese capital.
Throughout the years he was involved with many mainstream and not so mainstream parties, from the far right to the far left, ran for office a couple of times and help founded a few revolutionary organizations like the Eco-Anarchist Collective and the Inter-professional Class Association (a workers union closed down by the Portuguese government). He also worked as a volunteer translator for the NGOs AFRE (All United for Reparations and Emancipation) and CURE (Caucasians United for Reparations and Emancipation), both holding seats with advisory status at the United Nations; he was also the Portuguese representative for One Democratic State, an Israeli-Palestinian NGO. As a free lance reporter he has worked for a few Portuguese and foreign online and paper publications as a writer, translator, correspondent or researcher, to name a few: Humanus (Brazil), Rebellion (France), Limonka (Russia), EcoNac, Grifo, Resistir and Voxblogs Magazine (Portugal), Folk and Faith (USA). In 2006 he visited Iran and took part in the polemic 'Review of the Holocaust: Global Vision' international conference attracting media attention worldwide, due to this he has been labeled a terrorist, an anti-Semite and an enemy of Israel, his name is even listed in the 'Jewish Teachings Chair for Peace' program at the Yeshiva University, in New York. He was also one of the founding members of the Portuguese-Iranian Friendship Society. He studied History at the University of Lisbon but never graduated due to a lack of funds to finish his education, nonetheless he is an invited speaker in both Portugal and abroad, as far as the Moscow State University, has presented lectures to the ambassadors of Cuba and Venezuela as well as to a group of elected representatives of the PSUV and was invited as a guest writer of the "Geopolitics Journal" of the University of Ponta Grossa, Brazil. He animates two blogs, one daily in Portuguese and one not so often in English. Flavio Goncalves is a member of the International Lusophone Movement, of the International Eurasian Movement and of the Portuguese Democracy Institute. He is the Geopolitics columnist of the Conservative nationally distributed weekly "O Diabo" (Portuguese for "The Devil").
