I play it.. well... played it. I havent for about a year now. I love the D&D and games like it because of the social interaction. My sessions used to be composed of Myself, my brother, cousin, and my girlfriend one night each weekend.
It was great, lots of junk food.. catching up with one another.. and just laughter and fun. Sadly.. Ive never really had a chance to actually "play" as Ive always been the one DMing the campaign. Sometimes I wonder if I'd be a very good player really..
I used to get really into it, making my own props.. like letters they would intercept from couriers, or maps and such. I remember using my lighter and all sorts of things to make the maps look more weathered.. food coloring on the parchment for blood streaked effects.
We never got totally serious about it, which made me enjoy it alot more than those who seem to think its a job, and not a game. I only wished there was a way to play it online.. (other than the MMORPG of it which sucks)
I hear there are IRC scripts for it with automated dice rolling.. that might help depending on people learning the program and patience. *shrugs*
