Hahaha, this sorta cracked me up a bit.

This evening, I wrote some new tools to get a more accurate measure of how people are finding the site through search engines. The whole live list will be made public shortly. Anyhow, I came up with a funny discovery.

Keep in mind, these stats are only based on the last 2.2 million page views. Surprisingly, that is how many TT had in the last month. I'll make this stats public later as well, but I assure you it should drop next month since I made a change that will no longer count when you click the "add post" button, and some other AJAX calls.

Anyways, out of all the current records we have, or more specifically those with referring URLs, the number one search engine phrase is:

... at a whopping 433 searches that landed on TT. Haha, go figure. And second on the list is:

how gay are you quiz

... at 182 searches on search engines that arrived at TT. That's more than twice (87) the people that searched for tainted thoughts.

I know I posted the link to a page that showed these sorts of stats in the past, so I plan to do the same. The system is newer and better and shows search engines statistics as well, for those interested.

Anyway, you may be glad to know the gay quiz is now working again. It, and the Simpsons quiz, are both showing the graphics properly again. There was a bug which lasted an undetermined amount of time in which the images were dead; it has been reported and resolved.
