Okay, I figured there may be some confusion as to some of the awards. For example, "The Psychologist" award is given to the user who has the most psychology items. This can of course mean that this user changes from time to time. This means that users still have the chance to get these awards if they ever topple their competition item numbers.
The award is NOT revoked when a new user takes the award; the new user simply gets it as well.
Awards are typically only revoked when done on accident. I can't think of any other exceptions right now.
PS, I will post some statistics which will go into detail about your stance for different situations (which can help assist you in knowing how close you are to an award).
