Whenever you buy things - whatever they may be; which is more important to you: quality or quantity?

For example... There are two packs of DVDs to buy... a reliable name brand one with 20, and another pack of some no-name brand ones with 25 for the same price.

But don't get stick on that single metaphor, because I mean in general in all aspects of life.

For example, you could apply this to a more abstract scenario... There are two men.. both are just as good looking (oh, I forgot to say, this scenario is for the ladies), but one of them is loaded with money and has a generic personality, and the other does not have a lot of money, but has a great personality.

Or how about this one: when you give a guy money for pot, is your first thought to get a lot of stuff, or to score some really good shit?

I think you get the idea... I don't think this necessarily needs to be applied to your spending in life, but your typical view on things in general.

So how about you?

quality or quantity?

quality most of the time. I've learned that through experience too though. A good example involves any appliance you plan on not having to replace for a long time. These generally I think you shouldn't look at the price as a bad thing when you take the possibility of having to buy two of one before the other gives out (microwave being a great example). I tend to do this even when I know I should stretch my dollar too. Like if I know I have a long days work ahead and I only have seven dollars or whatever. Well at a fast food place I could buy seven sandwiches of dubious quality and nutritional value and keep eating on them all night. But, if I go to like a Sub place like Quiznos or a burrito place like Chipotle where the quality of the food is better I tend to get out spending what seems like a lot of money while when I eat that I am less hungry all night then I would have been with the former alternative. It's really a matter of knowing whats best.

i would go for quality over quantity for the most part, but i have to agree with Tulzie..

if i am lacking in funds & it was a 'buy this, or buy that' scenario, i'd have to go with something that would last longer & stretch my dollar.

What's the quality of the money? Is it real? Can i spend it? And in how much quantity will I be allowed to have if I were to be with this generic guy....

I prefer quality. I know that what ever that I am paying for, or investing in is going to be durable, reliable, and consistent. I don't mind spending the extra cash or putting a little bit more effort into a relationship when i know its gonna last awhile.

Quantity is prefer when i am broke. For example, I have five dollars, I can go buy one McDonald's meal (which is not that great in food quality) or I can buy Ramen noodles which can last me a few meals. In this instance where i am broke and i need to stretch out my resources, i wouldnt mind picking quantity or quality.

Quality. If you can look back and not regret a choice you made, it was the right choice.

To make the right choice, we need to be aware of ALL the options and what outcomes will come of them. Only then can we make a choice thats right for us.

I think I'm heading on to another subject now, so I'll shut up.
