Since last I've finished "pappersväggar" (Paper Walls) by Johan Ajvide Lindqvist and "Blodsbröder" (Blood Brothers) by Ingvar Ambjörnsen.

Liked both of the books. Johan Ajvide Lindqvist writes really good in my opinion, even tho none of the two last books of his that I read doesn't come close to being as good as his debut, let the right one in.

Unfortunately I kind ruined the experience of reading books from Ingvar Ambjörnsen by watching the movie that's based on them several years ago (didn't know about the books then) I hate reading a book after seeing a movie, so shame on me for poor research all those years ago.

My next book will be "Tre sekunder" (Three seconds) by Roslund and Hellström and I can't friggin wait! Haha. This is the fifth book from these two guys, I've read and own the previous four and they just get better and better, so, I have really high hopes for this fifth book.

Currently up to the twenty second Discworld book.  Also reading a very good book called Cadillac Desert about the American west and it's water usage.

Last book I read was called "The Hypnotist" by Lars Kepler (pseudonym for authors Alexandra and Alexander Ahndoril) I read it in Swedish but if I wrote the title none of you guys would get it. Haha.

Anyways, it was a good book I thought, it left a little to wish tho, I personally felt that one part of the story should have been wrapped up a bit better but I still liked the book and would recommend it.

Well I've read the first seven Discworld books since last I wrote this. Some I liked and some were a little on the dragging side. Good reads most though. I am currently just having finished "Napoleon's Buttons: 17 Molecules that have changed history."

I really enjoyed this book for the enormous amount of information it contains on molecular studies. The authors are chemists who obviously share a great love for their work.

Next I am going to read a book on weather called "It's Raining Frogs and Fishes: A history of strange weather."

I finished Bram Stoker's Dracula. I liked comparing it to my memories of all the Dracula inspired movies I had seen over the years. I definitely preferred it to all the film adaptations including the silent "Nosferatu", the versions with Christopher Lee, Bela Lugosi, The late 1970s version with Frank Langella as welll as the comedy "Love At First Bite " with George Hamilton and the Francis Ford Coppola version with Gary Oldman.
I found the Dracula in Stoker's novel to be less romantic than the Draculas in the movies. It seemed to me as if Stoker meant his novel to be some kind of economic parable about the power of greed. His parasitic vampire uses vast wealth to continue his parasitic existence.
Or maybe I' m just reading to much into it. I've already started Cervantes' Don Quixote--and I hope I can find tihe time to read all 1100 pages of it ( I like the first 80)

Peace

I have begun the Discworld series recently by Terry Pratchett. It is pretty good. I have got to the fifth one so now I am needing a break. Currently reading A Buffalo in the House which is about a family who adopts a newborn Bison which then shows some amazing intelligence. So far so good.

I finished Stiff, Saffron and a book called Tea: Addiction, Exploitation, Empire. They were all good but the last one was my least favorite.

I am still reading Phi and also a book called Mountains of the Heart: A Natural History of the Appalachians.

The latter is good so far and Phi is too it just take more time to digest than I have most of the time.

I am currently reading between two books.

First is Phi by Mario Liveo on the worlds most astonishing number.

Second is Stiff by Mary Roach which is on what happens to cadavers and primarily those donated to science by the look of it.

I am finishing Beyond the Neon up tonight. It was interesting but not as enthralling as I thought it would be. Which sucks because I like books on subterranean exploration in natural or man made tunnels. This one focused on the homeless population living in the tunnels and the perils they faced mostly though.

quoting TuLzie:

Currently I'm on a Chuck Palahniuk binge...

I just got done reading Diary, Fight Club, and Lullaby. I really enjoy the way he writes and how he depicts his characters and their demeanor. I just recently picked up Choke which is going to be in the movies soon; yay more books to munch on.

I have all Palahniuk's stuff. They're great. Haunted was the last thing I read by him. If you're into that, pick up some Neil Gaiman. American Gods is my all time favorite. Anasi Boys was pretty good too (and good to read after American Gods). Other than American Gods, my next favorite would have to be Good Omens. I loved that book too.

Recently, I've picked up Atlas Shrugged again. It's kinda like 1984 where the relevance just seems to keep coming back to ya.

I am just about done with a book called The Island at the Center of the World and it's about Dutch Manhattan before it was taken over by the English. It follows a full set of papers that still exist from the original colony to show how it was set up to be the most important trade center in the new world. Then it became that of course.

Now I just got a book sent out my way called Beneath the Neon:Life and Death in the Tunnels of Las Vegas and that actually sounds pretty interesting to me.

Finished “The Girl Who Played with Fire” by Stieg Larsson two days ago or something, I got hooked on that book pretty badly and read 400 pages in one day.

Right now I'm reading “The Air Castle That Was Blown Up” by Stieg Larsson. This is the third and last book in his Millennium trilogy.

I just finished my book on the rocky mountain locust's extinction yesterday. It was quite good for those who have patience and interest in entimology. I enjoyed it thoroughly myself.

Next read is called Kingdom of Ten Thousand things and it is a retracing of the journey supposedly taken by a Buddist monk to America in the 400's AD. The monk supposedly traveled as far as modern day Mexico before sailing back to China. Sounds interesting.

You'll have to let me know what his stuff is like, I'm told it's quite good, and my housemate is reading The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo now.

I finished the book like 2 days ago i think and it was good. I don't agree with all the people praising it though, I thought it was good but not much more than that. I'm about to start the second book in the trilogy as soon as I have some time over.
