Okay, first of all, I'd like to say that signups haven't been working for the past 2-4 days. I'm not sure exactly, but I know it was the day I added the little pane that says who is winning the contest. This frigging thing caused havoc all over the site and resulted in me having to fix more than 10 different things.
Anyhow, I noticed we hadn't gotten any signups in the past few days, which I thought was odd since we were running a contest. So I decided to check things out and sure enough there was a problem - the image code (captch) was broken!
This was a quick fix, but I was completely unaware of this, which brings me to an important thing I wanted to mention...
I am constantly coding on this site, and making a change in a file that is loaded by countless different modules or pages means that me making a change somewhere can effect something completely different than what I was working on or dealing with, so I may have no idea these things happen. Because of this, and since I am gonna add new awards tomorrow, I thought I'd mention that I will create an award for anyone who happens to catch the sign-up form being broken or unusable in anyway and reporting it to me! There will be a whopping 150 AP for this award, because I think it's incredibly crucial to ensure the sign up form is ALWAYS working.
So with all this in mind, if you've been wanting to join our community, and compete in the current contest we have going now, give it a go because there is still plenty of time left!
