Pretty sweet game. It hit me the other day that I first started playing Command & Conquer when I was 12, and since I'm now 24, that means its been around for half my life. Pretty freaky considering I'm not all that old.
Anyhow, the newest Command & Conquer game is awesome. It's incredibly addicting, but that didn't surprise me. I haven't been playing the campaign mode much, because I've been practicing quite a bit at skirmish maps (offline). I have played almost every time as Nod, simply out of preference from back in the days and because... well, who wants to be the good guy? (not me)
It's really true what a lot of the reviews have been saying - you gotta rush in this game to get anywhere. If you aren't aggressive don't even bother with the newest C&C. I like building up my super base too but you end up needing to rely on constant attacks if you are ever going to get anywhere. If you don't, they will. The game was designed in a way that it's very possible to wipe out an enemy in a short amount of time since most of the units are strong enough to deal the necessary damage.
Anyone else played or been playing the new C&C lately?
Surprisingly, I got it for the PC instead of the 360. The two main reasons for this were that 1) I wanted to use my new mouse, and, 2) it was a lot cheaper.
It's a bit of a shame that PC games really require the latest hardware or it won't compare to the next-gen console games. My PC is quite a power hog and still it can barely handle newer games.
