I recently read an author called Emma Bull who wrote two books called War for the Oaks and Finder. They were ok. Sort of a distracted writing style like the writer had ADD or something. Some may be interested enough to look into it though!

I know a large portion of you are readers here so I thought I would ask where you like to escape to.
I have always liked Tolkien of course. I also like many others and some of them have a lot of work in other genres so I will specifically include many.
I like H.P Lovecraft's Dream Quest of Unknown Kadath and many others but most of his definately falls under horror.
Along the lines of Dark Fantasy I also enjoyed The Dark Tower series by Stephen King.
I like most of Neil Gaiman's books especially Neverwhere and American Gods
I recently read Dianna Wynne Jones' Castle in the Air and Howls Moving Castle and those were pretty good.
What is yours?
