The film starts with film footage of the Watergate scandal's explosion into the media, and then moves to David Frost coming up with the idea. The film dedicates itself to giving a fair portrayal of the events that occurred, and also of the people concerned.
The first hour or so is given to showing how the interview came around, as well as giving reflections of those involved after the interview. It then moves on to the duel of wits between Nixon and Frost, as each attempts to get the upper hand in the interviews. It also depicts the risks taken by Frost to get the interview to even happen, let alone broadcast.
The final moments of the interview are as dramatic as the original, with superb acting on behalf of Frank Langella as Nixon particularly, with Kevin Bacon playing his loyal aide. Michael Sheen is particularly good as Frost.
This is well worth watching if you are politically and historically minded. --- "Frost-Nixon" has been viewed times ---
