I love George Carlin. He was an awesome and amazing speaker and comedian. I missed his shows three times that he came here and was going to damn sure not miss him last year if only.... he hadn't died.

In any case any other fans? I am buying this huge box set of his but I already have a ton of material from his HBO specials and older items.

I used to have all of them. I still have his last one (When Will Jesus Bring the Pork Chops). They are great but the full experience comes when I see the live show.

have you read any of his books? I've read bits and pieces of Napalm and Silly Putty. I'd like to own it (and some of his shows) one day!

He is an iconic stand up comedian. Myself I have always loved all his stuff. It is a wonderful reflection on life events with a funny twist.
