I paid $142 Canadian for the Processor. It would have been around 200 for a quad core. I tried to keep my cost around 300 dollars (to get free shipping) so i went for the tri-core instead. I ended up paying 340 for everything.

Last summer my PC fried on me. It stopped outputting video for some reason. So at the time i bought a cheap Dell laptop. The laptop is shit for video and audio so this week i bought a new motherboard/CPU and power supply to build a new PC.
I'm trying out Windows 7 RC right now. So far things look and work great. I had vista on my laptop and it was slow as fucking hell. I have XP also installed on here. Windows 7 doesn't seem to be running too much slower then XP.
I got a AMD Phenom II tri-core 2.5ghz CPU with a Asus M4A78-E Motherboard. I thought the reason my last motherboard burnt out was because of the power supply so i bought a 460watt one. I had an old 350 one before. But after installing my video card it seems both the video card and the on board video does nothing. So now i'm thinking my old motherboard might be fine and it was my video card that was fucking shit up. To bad i snapped some pins off my old processor when i took the old motherboard out. lol
