What kind of personalities do they generally have? As I've said, I always wanted one, but have never gotten to know one closely. In fact, until a year ago I never even saw one (living, I should say, since I've seen a dead one before while working).

What other animals do they most resemble in personality? From what you said about biting in play, that makes me think they are kinda similar to cats.

the cats i had with the first ferret (Jezebelle) LOVED playing with her and would initiate chases and then run from her and things like that.
the cats we have now with Loki are just party poopers.. one is quite old and the other is ultra prissy, but Loki will still try to go after them and make the funky little noises they make when they are excited. it's so great!

my old ferret loved to play with cats too! He would start hopping and making all these little noises and he just loved it!

*my* experience with ferrets is that they will bite in play, but not to hurt.

my ferret likes to bite feet, tho, and sometimes, if he gets the right spot, it can hurt, even tho i don't think he really does it intentionally.

my other ferret that i had a few years back never bit me while playing or otherwise, but that is probably because she was way too interested in chasing my cats lol

Does ferrets bite? I have this idea (for no apparent reason) of them doing so.

oh yes, the smell is a really big 'turn off' to getting a ferret, but luckily this one came from my cousin & they had him descented, so it's no where near as bad (i had one before him & she was not descented and it was horrible!)

& Lev, don't worry, we kept the ferret and returned the cooler! LOL
seriously tho, Thomas read it online somewhere that the cooler actually can melt because of the heat & melt it to the console, but as soon as he found out it voided the warranty we returned it to the store. Besides, it didn't even fit the Xbox! C'est la vie!

oh, and as a warning, in case you guys weren't aware at least, the nyko intercooler has a large reputation of helping increase the likelihood that the xbox 360 will actually break down. While it is advertised to do the exact opposite, and while some folks may actually think this is helping in the short run, there are numerous reports online of this device actually having solely a negative effect. This is because it intercepts the xbox's power source and may interfere with the power given to the system (components could short or fail because of a lack of steady power), and because its design is basically putting additional fans right over other fans, which would mean that the motion from the outer fan would force the inner fan to spin faster, thus decreasing the xbox's fans' lifespan. Laptop coolers should work better because they draw power from USB and they don't work by placing extra fans on top of places there are already fans, but instead cooling the surface it lays on.

Actually, because the nyko intercooler is so well known to actually kill xboxes, if microsoft finds out you used it, your warranty is void and they won't replace the system. They claim they can tell by some discoloration and residue that is left on the back of the system.

Fortunately, many laptop coolers are either the same price as the nyko intercooler or cheaper. I'd recommend one of those over the intercooler... I was very close to purchasing one many years ago, on numerous occasions, but after researching it, I got scared away, and the more I've read since then only seems to collaborate what people thought about it in the beginning.

But it is your xbox, so do as you will with it.. I just thought you should know, in case you didn't already.

it's hard not to love ferrets. I had one when I was younger. The smell was the only thing I didn't like.
