Since the contest is about half through now, I thought I would go over some tips that can help you easily and quickly boost your AP.
Some of these methods will be pretty obvious to many people, but some of them may not be that obvious or understood at all.
To begin with, familiarize yourself this page. It contains a run down of all the actions that earn you AP on Tainted Thoughts, as well as the points that are awarded for creating new items or making new posts in each respective section.
Tips to quickly earn AP
- Update your profile daily. Each time you update your profile you receive a quick 10 AP. You are only awarded 10 AP once every 24 hours, so don't think you can continuously update your profile to spoof AP. You will receive AP from each profile you do, as long as the last time you received AP for this action it was more than 24 hours ago.
- Write a quick message in the chatter box. You receive 3 points for doing this, and it takes virtually no effort. Actually, you will receive 3 points every half hour you are chatting in the chatter box. You do not need to continuously chat; you only need to post a single message each half hour.
- Write a message in a chat room. You receive 2 points for doing this, and this is also awarded on a 30 minute basis. If someone is already chatting in a chat room, join in since it boosts your AP as without you even realizing it! If someone isn't chatting, pop into a room to wait for others; while you are waiting, write a quick message to yourself and you will receive AP.
- Have a question you'd love to ask people and want a medium to do so? Create a poll and earn 5 easy AP!
- Have an interest in another member of TT? Send them a crush alert! This will also earn you 5 AP for every crush alert you send.
- Think you spotted a bug? Report it in the web site concerns forum by creating a new item there. If there is another thread open for the same issue just leave a comment and you will also receive AP; if not, it's always better to create a new item than posting somewhere else, since creating items awards more AP than leaving comments to items. Not only is this a more efficient way to earn AP, but it makes my job a lot easier by having each issue in its own thread.
- Have an idea for a feature Tainted Thoughts should have? The only way it is ever going to be implemented is to share your idea. The easiest, and best, way to do this is by creating an item in the "Feature Requests" forum - this will earn you 5 AP for each item you create here.
- Tell your friends! Unquestionably, the action that earns you the most points is recruiting other members to our fine establishment. 
For each person you get to join Tainted Thoughts, you will earn 25 AP! It's always smart to keep this in mind, since it is the most effective way at boosting your AP. If time is really ticking and you are neck and neck with another member; you may want to resort to getting your friends to join Tainted Thoughts.
