It just came to my attention that the total number of items it was saying most members had (on their profiles or through the members page) was reflecting a much lower number than they really had.
This is because when an item is created or deleted an outdated function was used - a function, which at the time I had told not to count blog and gallery items.
The new method I have been using DOES count blog and gallery items, since they are items and I don't have my anal discrimination here that I used to.
This means that the next time you create or delete an item you will notice your total item count increase (sometimes by hundreds of items if you post lots of blogs or gallery images).
