Finally, the new notification system that I have been working on is ready to be presented and used.
There are still a few things I plan to do with the user interface (like adding buttons to sync your settings from messenger to email and vice versa, and maybe buttons to "check all"). If I get too many complaints about the size of the page, the sections may be broken into separate pages, but (for a few reasons) I prefer to keep it all together on one page.
Obviously, there are a butt load of new things you can get notifications for, so look them over and ask if you have any questions about what any are or how they work.
ALL of them should be working now, but if you think one isn't working as it should, or if you receive a notification to something you did yourself that you think shouldn't give a notification, please let me know! There are bound to be problems since I've introduced an insane amount of new code.
Finally - you can get a notification to your email when you receive a private message!
Oh, and an importance notice: everyone's notifications have been reset! So this means, everyone will currently have EVERY single box ticked. For many of you, this will mean a lot more notifications than you want, so be sure to update this! For various reasons, it would have been inefficient to try and convert the old system to the new system, so I apologize, but you all need to setup your notifications again!

The reason you can't navigate to the desired page is because there is a setting (under the "settings" button) that forces the site to redirect you to the inbox whenever you have a new message. If you'd like this to be changed somehow (like only sending u there once, and then setting a cookie to prevent it on the next load) please make a feature request. I'm content with how it works now, but I know some people may object.

4:39am - May 14 2009so i followed the link and realized that it's gonna take me a really long time to uncheck all those boxes, if possible can you create a button like the astrix button that we have in our PM box that checks and uncheck all the mail?
that way we can clear the options first and then go back and check the ones that we would like to be notified.
i also realized that when i first signed onto
TT, the PM page is automatically displayed and there was no way to navigate from it unless i follow a link or start a new page. Is there any way that you can fix that because its rather annoying when you can't leave that page and is stuck checking the mail.
