I know, I'm a sellout... You don't need to tell me!

I got a bit anxious waiting for the new PS3 and really wanted a nex generation console to play on my monitor.

Well, that aside, the xbox 360 is looking to be the only system that will boast "Fable 2" and I completely fell in love with that game on the original Xbox. Fable is in a series of it's own... Amazing environments, depth, character developements and sooo much to do. I won't even get started on Fable, save for the fact that you can say I am really looking forward to Fable 2 coming out on October 20th! I will be one happy and anti-social camper then. (more so)

Anyways, back to the Xbox 360. Some things are really cool about it and some are typical Microsoft traits which suck donkey balls.

For starters, I got a 20 gig hard drive and appearantly I can't transfer music to it unless I have a "Windows XP PC"; now, what the hell is that?! And they wonder why the EU is sueing their asses... What would have been so difficult about simply using the FTP instead of some Microshit propriotary networking protocol? Ohhh, lemme guess... So we can insure to bully our competitors by developing products in every industry and making them ONLY compatible with our own products since it's helpful to push out the competition. So I don't have a Windows computer and from the look of it, I may not be able to transfer files to my Xbox 360 hard drive.. Maybe until a hack comes along (as I can with my old hacked Xbox). I thought this was really sad and pathetic but completely the sort of thing I'd expect from this company.

BUG! What the fuck is this bullshit... I had a Dead or Alive 4 save file (on the hard drive they gave me) and it fucken dissapeared or got deleted without me deleting it!!! I had beaten *EVERY* single story mode for every single character and it just VANISHED! The sad thing is I think it was a bug related to the system because I noticed it directly after I had changed the clock on the system. For some reason this system does not appear to have a built in internal lithium battery (as does the Dreamcast) to keep the clock even when the system is unplugged, so after I had moved the system around to where i wanted it, the clock was set back to the default time. This became really annoying for me as when I was playing Quake 4 it was sorting my save files in the order of which they were saved so they were getting all mixed around. So, I changed the clock, and right after that loaded up DOA4 to play some matches with Nero. Straight away I noticed none of the hidden characters were there... Then I went into the menu area and saw that the "theatre" option was gone! Not only that but it set into me that when I started the game that time, it asked me what drive to save to as the game loaded, which it should only do the first time. So for some strange reason the fucking game or system lost my god damn save file for Dead or Alive 4 that had every character unlocked. I sighed to myself and just said aloud "Microsoft". Really reallly sad... I said to myself how I have managed to avoid using a Microsoft product for nearly a year now and then when I go and give it a chance again with something, I lose a fucken save file.

Anyway, I went through the game this morning and beat every story mode again with all the characters. What a fucken hassle though.

I also beat Quake 4 last night! That game was awesome.

So now it feels like I already completed the two games I own for it! Fortunately I am getting "elder scrolls oblivion" very soon.

Other games I am really looking forward too:

Dead Rising (only 3 more weeks til it comes out in Europe)
Fable 2 (october 20)
Sonic (weeeeee)
Too Human (why not)
Resident Evil 5 (even though its more uninspired rubbish that they keep pumping out, whatever)
Enchanted Arms (why not.. another rpg isn't bad)

Don't know whether I will get all/any of these but these I'm looking forward too at least.

Just to add to what Lev said, I think that the PS3 will probably be better. I was hoping for the 360 to rule supreme, but it looks like the PS3 will be king this time around, Xbox was as apposed to PS2. Also, I have heard rumors in gaming magazines that they might enable a platform like Linux or possibly even XP or that new one... most likely Linux. If it does, it is basically everything you need, internet, CPU, gaming system.

And about Oblivion, that game is freaking wicked awesome. I have it for my laptop, which by the way, plays it better than my bro's 360. But I became disenchanted with it after about 300 hrs in. Underneith it all, it is just a damn hack and slash, and that sucks. I would love it if it became some sort of an MMORPG, due to the depth. But in reality, a stealth character just cant really beat the game like a warrior. The main quest is based on combat for the most part, I wish it was based upon your major sect, Stealth, Magic, or Combat.

I got so bored with not being able to kill anything with my bow with my lv 25 thief that I started a warrior, then after about lv 30, killing anything that got in my path, I started a mage. And after about lv 20 of that I got bored of all of the long ass mage battles with necromancers. Dont get me wrong, theif is probably one of the most fun classes to play, I mean, I robbed jewelry stores, staff shops (but you cant steal the damn staffs) weapon stores, scroll stores. Actually I stole anything I wanted, I stole from guards, from captain of the guards, I could sneak anywhere. It was really fun, but it was much easier to beat the game with a warrior.

And that's all I have to say about that.

Well, I won't lie to you...

xbox 360 is an awesome system and it's looking to have some pretty nice games as well.

I've been currently addicted to "elder scrolls oblivion". (unbelievable graphics)

If I was only going to get one of the next gen systems I'd probably put my money on PS3 to be honest. It looks to be the more powerful system and has less draw backs than the 360. For example, the 360 is Microsoft; and being Microsoft they try to control *everything*! Even though the system has a USB port, you can't use your normal web cam, you gotta buy their xbox live vision cam instead so they can make money off that. Then it comes to software on the system, you can't directly hook up your computer through traditional methods unless it's a Windows PC (where as I can almost guarantee this will not be the case with PS3 as you can hook the PSP up to any computer fine). Then comes the hard drive... you have to pay close to 100 dollars for their measely 20 gig hard drive and you can only use theirs of course cause they are microsoft. With the ps3 you can install ANY normal ATA hard disc, so for the same exact price you can buy a 300 gig hard drive from a computer store and put that inside for the same cash you'd pay microsoft for their puny 20 gig. Horsepower: PS3 wins by a long shot as far as I am concerned... granted the 360 has 3 cpus in it running at 3.2 gig, the ps3 has a cell processor that acts like 7 (or 8) processors. The PS3 also has blue-ray, which means discs hold 50 gigs each as opposed to Xbox and 9 gig dvds. Aside from that you will be able to get an HD DVD drive for the xbox as an add on (external), but it's going to cost you probably a good 100 as well, and PS3 already has blue-ray (which I think is better than HD DVD anyhow). Also, the PS3 comes with a wireless internet connection; 360 has a normal ethernet port unless u spend like 80 bucks on the wireless add on. Even when it comes to games, not only are many games probably going to perform a tad better on the ps3, there will also be a better selection on 360 I believe since so many more japanese companies support Sony than Microsoft.

That's my two cents at least...

Don't get me wrong.. I think 360 is a great system and worth the cash, but I think PS3 will be even more worth the cash, even though it's going to cost you quite a bit more.

I wanted to get both and I still plan to get a PS3. Actually, I just put aside my first thousand kronor (100~ dollars) recently in an envelope that says PS3 on it, so I've begun to save already.

I blame it on lack of drugs. Games have really become my drug again and I feel like I've gone back in time 5-10 years ago where computers where my life and how I'd love to have access to all the best machines so it's never a question of which games you can play since you have the machine to run them all! I love that feeling when you know that when a new or great game is announced that you don't need to worry about what console it's coming out on cause you're covered.

Who knows, if I end up dropping some really heavy acid I might even trip out enough to buy a Wii (not bloody likely though unless my brain get's really messed around).

I'm hoping Nintendo dies out after this system and continues to only make games and stop making stupid gaming systems.
