Here's another one you might want to check out:
http://www.streetdrugtruth.com/
if you have any questions you want to ask anyone personally, you're free to ask me. probably the best way to do that is emailing me though!
anyways, I also have to say I'm not too sure I'd go by much of what erowid.com says.
Don't get me totally wrong here, it did have quite a lot about the culture behind drugs and a lot of other documentation and stories about the drug culture & experience, but for one their first main section I clicked (Erowid's psycho-active vaults); was completely in-accurate in a major way. Nearly every single drug they listed is NOT a psycho-active substance. In fact only a few of them are; the majority of the others are neuroligcal drugs which work by altering your nervous system. Psycho-active drugs mean that nothing really has happened to your body and the psychosis you are expeincing is just that; in your head. But sadly a lot of those ended up in the same category as psycho-actives (cocaine, methamphetamines and half of the other list), when in fact they are not.
Methinks, someone just thought the word sounded cool so they liked using it. Too bad it's an in-accurate classification.

If you don't like the rules they make, refuse to play their game
If you don't want to be a number, don't give them your name
If you don't want to be caught out, refuse to hear their question
Silence is a virtue, use it for your own protection
