when i vote on a poll on any page, it take me to the "create a poll" page instead of (just a suggestion) the list of polls page

In any event, this is an unnecessary confusion, and not very server resourceful. Since only the poll data is going to be updated on the page load, the voting of the poll should just use a live AJAX call and avoid reloading the whole page altogether. This way, you're not confused, less data needs to be sent to the user, and you're still viewing the same page/thing you were before you voted.

that was probably it. i just voted on a new poll and it took me back to the same page i was on. it's all good now. my bad.

Can you verify that you were not in fact already looking at the "create a poll" page when you voted on a poll (perhaps off to the side).

I believe what should be happening is that you are always brought back to the same page after voting.
