When listerning to a song, what first draws you, and also, what catches your ear more, bass, vocals, guitar, drums...ect?
I usually hear guitar more, just from playing and always listerning out for it so for the last while when i have been starting to play the drums, i have found it hard to pic out the variation's in drum beats.

1:48pm - January 08 2005it can be anything really. If i dont like the vocals by a band i cant listen to them though. to me its probably the most importent thing in deciding if i like the band or not. Lyrics dont matter as long as they arent gay emo homolove. but if the band has an awesome guitarist, bassist, drummer whatever it will catch my attention the most. Also the atmosphere ofthe music as a whole normally catchs my attention the most. i listen to a lot of black metal and doom so atmosphere is a huge part of the music.
