Some people might have their own assumptions as to why I use marijuana or some people might just think I do it to get "high" and some people might have no idea. Well, to me Cannabis is more than a way to get high. It's a medicine for my body and mind. It's therapy. Here's why I use it:

1) It increases my self-esteem greatly to a point where I no longer even care what anyone thinks in the slightest. The sort of alienation feeling you attain from it cannot be explained it words. You feel great and confident in who you are and what you think. You feel as if nothing is bothering you.

2) It calms down my constant stress and tension. I suffer from a few stress-disorders and anxiety problems. If I'm worried or scared, feeling anxious and worrying about the problems in my life I let go of all of it instantly when I'm high. It no longer bothers me and I don't care anymore. I get the feeling that everything will work out and everything will be fine.

3) It completely haults my entire depression. That's something prozac could never do for me. If people started looking to nature for advice we might be farther than we are. I don't hate myself when I'm high. I feel happy to be alive. I'm not negative and I see everything in a different perspective. Night becomes day and everything is suddenly beautiful and funny.

4) It relaxes my nerves. Stops my leg from spasming. I have a medical history which affects the nerves in my left leg. Occassionally,from stress or tension in my leg the muscle can stop spasming. When I was on prozac my leg could spasm more than ten times a day. When I'm not on prozac my nervous system is a bit more stable and I'll occassionally have a muscle spasm. When I've been using Cannabis for a period of time, my nervous system is completely relaxed and my leg rarely if at all will spasm. I'm also a very tense person, Cannabis helps relax my posture in general.

5) My mind is turned on. When I'm not high I feel like my mind is off, but when I'm high I feel like my brain is turned on right. My brain perceptions and thoughts are altered to where I see things simply and clearly. I see things exactly for what they are. Life becomes more simple and clear. I become much more creative. I get very abstract ideas and thoughts. My humor is turned on 100 times more. I get weird and obscure ideas. I'm very spontanious and act naturally. I don't hide anything and I express my thoughts and self much easier.

6) I know I'm a better person on Cannabis. I'm more thoughtful and respectful. I understand and respect people more. I'm not an asshole, I'm not selfish, and I'm friendly

I smoke weed cause I want to get high damn it! No, really I smoke for most of the reasons previously stated. I do get bad anxiety and it really can help me out during a time of depression. It has helped me get through a lot. Now I'm trying to work through the same types of problems while smoking less and less until I don't need it all. As much as I do enjoy smoking weed/hash I would rather have it just for recreation than as a medicine. ~~~~~~~~~~ -3ntropy

I'v used weed/hash for many different reasons at different point in my life. Mainly to have fun with friends, to deal with depression, to relax after work, to cure the hiccups and to fall asleep. what it doesn't help with is my social life and motivation/procrastination.

well i dont have any specific reasons to really smoke except for peer pressure. Yes, i said it, lol. I usually smoke when my best friend decides to roll us something or pack a bowl for us. But i would never really go out of my way to get it. I dont have the money really and i totally can see myself depending on it if i do decided to smoke more often. I 'm actually more quite after i smoke, i and really dont bother people that much when i am stoned. I dont seem to aim to obtain any higher level of thoughts. I just feel like i am completely empty. even though i could be happy and content but then after awhile i just become an empty vessel. which is nice, hahaha, its like a short cut to meditation. ~~~~~~~~~~ "we are our own devil, we are our own devil.... and we''ll make this world our hell"

I mainly use it for one of two reasons, the first is to just totally relax. Escape my mind and just purely chill. The other is because i don't think i've come across a better muscle relaxant yet. It works miracles on me when my back decides to play silly buggers. I have issues with my back where it will just seize up, and leave me virtually paralyzed because of the pain (though now quack can tell me why, for all intents and purposes there's nothing wrong with my back), and dope helps a lot. ~~~~~~~~~~ I am the human race's worst nightmare. The human race is my worst nightmare. Guess who go the raw end of the deal. Fuck. I can ail what cures you.
